Children can be quite inquisitive and gullible at times. They can also be funny and sweet as well. We love these tender moments and try to cherish them for as long as they will last. But then comes the adolescent years wherein these lovely little creatures transition into bigger ones whose ways are not so palatable anymore. During these years, they tend to challenge every household rule. They often increase in rebellion and defiance right before our eyes as the thoughts and opinions of their “friends” seem to trump every thing we have attempted to instill within them.
Sometimes, we want to lay hands on them…and not in a spiritual manner either. The funny thing is that we do not realize that they are only mirroring how we act with our Heavenly Father at times. We are often rebellious and disobedient. The opinions of others often trump what our Father has instructed us to do within His Word…and yet He remains patient…loving…and kind. When all is said and done, we should consider responding to our Heavenly Father with the same attitude and respect that we seek to receive from our children…#thinkonthesethings
