Misconceptions Of The Church From Within, Pt. 8

kingdom-950x250-960x350The power to fulfill the mission given to the church before Christ’s physical departure came in abundance in the form of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This power made the members of the this new institution capable of engaging heavily in communal living in similar manner to the Nation of Israel while living in and departing from Egypt. The rules by which they lived brought about liberty and a change of perspective concerning the way they approached life within the surrounding culture. Christ’s mission for the church was for it to become the outward manifestation of what it means to be a member and resident of the Kingdom of God here on earth.

The church is supposed to be implementing and incorporating the principles of God’s Kingdom throughout the course of everyday while engaging in their daily activities and while sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom with those in the surrounding cultures. The Christian community is called out of the heathenistic practices of the surrounding culture in order to walk in covenant with the One True God. The Christian community is to exemplify what it means to live under the government of God. The worship practices of the Christian community were not designed for weekly meetings, annual conferences, nor the membership of committees. The worship practices were implemented as a part of everyday living within the community to distinguish them from the surrounding cultural environments. The worship practices were intended to be shared with others outside of the community who, by virtue of the light and love of Christ and God’s government operating within and through us, wanted to become a part of God’s Kingdom as well…#‎thinkonthesethings‬
