Procrastination is no one’s friend. In order to make up for the time that has been lost, we have to do what? Use more time! Time is the one gift that has been given to us by God that cannot be recycled. The loss of time can never be regained. The one thing that time can do better than anything else is demonstrate the type of steward we are and our approach in the utilization of His creation.
In the beginning, God gave us the task of maintaining His creation, and being a wise steward of our time was a part of the command. How so? When we fail to be mindful of how we spend this precious resource, some matters of importance are left unattended. We have to remember that every action, or lack thereof, affects others within our sphere of influence and sometimes even those beyond our reach.
When others suffer loss at our hands, we must give an account before God for our lack of activity and our disobedience to His command to be fruitful and multiply and to subdue and to replenish. We are failing to love others enough to invest the necessary time it takes to complete an assigned task and, therefore, our actions categorize us as unwise stewards (Lk. 12:42-48).
Think before you do. Think before you do not. Our inactivity has just as great a consequence as does our activity. Exercise wisdom…and if you lack wisdom…ask God Who gives us liberally all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3)…#thinkonthesethings
