The decisions we make in life cannot be arrived at based upon our feelings and emotions alone. By doing so, we end up living in regret because those decisions are oftentimes made impulsively without any serious consideration of the outcome. How do we guard ourselves from incurring any additional weight which can so easily beset us (Heb. 12:1)? By seeking the counsel of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus says in John 16:13,
“Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He will shew you things to come.”
Understanding that God, as our Heavenly Father, always has our best interest in mind should provide us with a sense of peace and encourage us to seek counsel from Him (Phil. 4:6,7). We understand that He sees and knows all things before we are ever faced with them. Therefore, because we are ever under His watchful eye, if we seek Him, He will guide us lovingly in the right direction, and helping us to bypass and/or overcome the dangerous pitfalls planned by the enemy of our souls (1 Cor. 10:13).
In order to make decisions that count in the economy of the Kingdom of God, we simply have to surrender ourselves wholly to the leading of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. But it is not enough to submit to Him on a daily basis. We must ensure that we remain in complete submission to Him throughout the entire day...#thinkonthesethings

Is this the piece about your daughter? If it is, I just read it and I am going back on to reblog it. You were speaking to me…real talk! It’s difficult to wake up everyday when you’ve been assigned as a watchman on the wall and have been tasked with releasing a word to encourage and strengthen others…especially when you’re in need of it yourself. I appreciate you, e!
