The Process Of The Promise

In life, we often want what we want when we want and not a second later. This is life from the human perspective. But in the economy of God’s Kingdom, life does not happen in this manner. God often allows us to go through a process in order to mature us in order to be able to function in alignment with Kingdom principles which would allow the manifestation of the Kingdom to come forth. In Exodus 23:30, God speaks to the Israelites who are in the wilderness and on their way to the Promised Land. He says,

“By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.”

Solomon states later in Ecclesiastes 3:1,

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…”

God designed life to function as a process. We are not involved in an instant metamorphic cycle. We are born. We grow from infancy to becoming a toddler. As we develop further, we become adolescents. We, then, mature from adolescence to young, middle, and eventually, late adulthood. We were created to function alongside the processes of nature within God’s creation. Everything has a beginning and everything has an ending. Most importantly, everything has midpoints of growth and development in between which determine where their journey through life will reach consummation…and it all happens in God’s timing…and according to His overall plan.

We can either choose to embrace the fact that God does not operate in a microwavable fashion. Or, we can continue to exist in misery while attempting to force God’s hand into moving according to our plan. In the end, we will learn that the purpose, plan and promise of God are immutable (Heb. 6:17-19). We cannot coerce God into making any move apart from His predeterminate counsel. We can be assured that “…all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Cor. 1:20), but they come to pass in His time…#‎thinkonthesethings‬

  1. Here we go again: Patience 😉 Everything has its time and place and everything needs time for being allowed to develop to our highest good.
