A Common Purpose

“And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and unto all the elders of Israel…” (Deut. 31:9).

To remain a community which has a common purpose, we must continue to come together to rehearse and meditate upon the Word of God. It is not a one time event. We must gain a common understanding of the Word in order to live and be in one accord. Our ultimate focus should be upon how we live in relation to God, ourselves, and others. We must ensure that this spiritual legacy is passed on to our posterity that they may learn to embrace and appreciate God for Who He is, not merely based upon head knowledge, but based upon their own personal experience with Him. This can only take place when this lifestyle is modeled before them on a daily basis.
