Is The Bible Still Relevant?

“And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?…” (Deut. 4:8)

In contemporary times, society has diminished the importance and relevance of the Word of God. It has often been described as “antiquated” and “outdated”, therefore, no longer relevant to the current state of the world. What those people who are saying these things do not realize (or maybe they do) is that in saying this, they are (in essence) saying that God is antiquated and outdated as well. In other words, God is no longer relevant to the current state of the world. How so?

The very life-giving power of God derives its source from the words which are inscribed on the pages of the Bible. Those life-giving words are the very God-breathed words given to humanity to provide us with the access needed to experience God within our daily lives. When we internalize the Word of God, we are also internalizing Him as well because He is the Word (Jn. 1:1-4).

Once we begin to remove the Word of God from our daily lives, we will begin to see that chaos will soon emerge over time. If you do not believe, take a look around at how swiftly the culture has worsened. A society without a daily infusion of God’s Word into its daily life is a society that is going to devolve into degeneration…and very quickly!

    1. Some would argue against this. But the fact of the matter is that we have not taken a stand as believers, and so the enemy has managed to slowly influenced the culture with ideologies which are anti-God, anti-Christ, and anti-Biblical.
