A Life Of Peace

“And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them…” (Deut. 5:1).

When we seek to discard the Kingdom principles of God as taught throughout the Scriptures, we find ourselves moving from an environment of peace and harmony into an environment filled with chaos and disorder. God intended for these principles to regulate the life of His people within His community. If God’s people no longer subscribe to living by His principles, then how is the surrounding secular environment supposed to encounter and experience the Kingdom of God through us?

God never intended for His people to bend with the winds of time. He intended for to “be like a tree(s) planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his (her) fruit in his (her) season…” (Ps. 1:3). Why? Because His people are supposed to be “walking not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standing in the way of sinners, nor sitting in the seat of the scornful. But his (her) delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he (she) meditate day and night…” (Ps. 1:1,2).

Remember…”The grass withereth, the flower fade the: but the Word of our God shall stand forever…” (Is. 40:8).

  1. I see so much of this around where we live. So many people brought up to love God and believe in His teachings turning away. I am isolated from attending church due to my health but I make sure I am praying, living in the Word, watching/listening to sermons and acknowledging Him in every moment. Many who attend regular services only acknowledge their faith for that one hour once a week.
