Grace Is Sufficient For All

“And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel…” (Josh. 6:23).

God’s grace is great and extends to everyone. As believers, we preach this within and outside of the Christian circle. However, we negate the statement by our actions. Many times, our judgmental comments and actions close the door of opportunity for others to experience grace. As a result, the person in need of grace receives the proverbial scarlet letter through maltreatment from those who have the answer for their present condition.

How soon we forget that we once were in need of God’s grace! We have also forgotten that we, too, still need God’s grace to successfully go through each day. Do we remember when the shoe was on the other foot? Likewise, God reached down and rescued us when we were in the midst of our sin. For some of us, it was not too long ago. For others, it was so long ago that God sometimes reminds us.

God is not partial to any one group of people. His desire is to see all of humanity receive His precious gift of salvation. He expects us to share our stories with others in order for them to realize that they, too, have a chance to be redeemed.

As God’s children, we should emulate our Father’s actions in all that we think, say and do. God freely gave His gift of grace to us. We should be willing to share it with others. This is God’s way of overthrowing the kingdom of darkness. As His children, this should be our way of doing things as well.
