More To Come!

When we fail to acknowledge God’s authority over every thing in creation, we miss an opportunity to experience the fullness of His grace. The acknowledgement of God’s rightful place within world affairs leads to a revolutionary movement that results in worldwide change. Therefore, this change is necessary as it is a return to original design God intended for His creation. However, the dispensing of God’s grace in the here and now is just a foretaste of things to come in the life to come. In other words…We have not seen anything yet!!!

  1. Acknowledging God’s authority is like accepting a kind of ‘master-slave’ relationship: acceptance of control on the part of the ‘master’ in exchange for sublimation, worship and obedience on the part of the ‘slave’, e.g. ‘Father, into they hands I commend my spirit’ [John 391:15]; ‘Blessed are those who obey the word of God’ [Luke 11:28] &c., &c. Is this what we’re suppose to do?

    1. Accepting God’s authority takes on differing types of relationships. Just as a person has differing roles in which he /she fulfills in relationship to others, so does God. Your response limits God to one role, but He, in fact, is more than just Lord and Master. Acknowledging God’s authority in the context of my post is not one dimensional. It is speaking to God being Creator, Sovereign Lord, Father, Sustainer, etc. We submit to some form of authority on a daily basis, why is it so difficult to do the same for the One Who created us?
