Words of Encouragement (Weekend Edition)

Welcome to our weekly word of encouragement series. Each week, we will be presenting an encouraging scriptural verse for our readers. We believe this is one of our responsibilities of service as Christ's disciples.

“…he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of His eye…” (Zech. 2:8).

God is always watching over us because of His immense love for us.

Whomever has lifted their hand against us as an adversary has made a grave mistake. Why? Because our Heavenly Father’s eyes “…are in every place…” and running “…to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him…” (Prov. 15:3; 2 Chr. 16:9).

We are the treasure of God’s heart. Because of this, He watches over us intently. He loves us immensely and will not sit by idly while we are being overwhelmed by our enemies. When we cry out to God, His heart is moved and He comes to assist us in our time of need. How awesome and encouraging is this!

So never allow what others may say or do to intimidate you. Never allow a situation to cause you to fear its outcome. As long as we show ourselves faithful to God, He will be faithful to us. In fact, even when it becomes difficult for us to believe, He still remains faithful (2 Tim. 2:13). This is how dedicated our Father is to us. Think on these things…
