Words Of Encouragement (Weekend Edition)

Welcome to our weekly word of encouragement series. Each week, we will be presenting an encouraging scriptural verse for our readers. We believe this is one of our responsibilities of service as Christ's disciples.

“Brethern, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus…” (Phil. 3:13,14).

How much effort are you putting into attaining your God-ordained life goals? Stay on the journey until you have reached the endpoint.

Life is a journey. We set goals and either attain or fall short of them. We sometimes have to do a reboot of life because we make mistakes. In other words, regardless of how some people act, none of us have arrived. We are still walking out this journey.

The good news is that we are not alone. If we look at the left and right of us, we would see other believers pushing through another day similar to our efforts. The goal is in front of us and the journey lies ahead. Once we complete one goal, we look to God for the next assignment before embarking on a new journey.

The process is ongoing, but what has become clear to us is that if we continue to push through, we will be victorious and reach our goal. Do not focus on the setbacks. Allow God to use them as catalysts to get you to the next level. Do not give up. Your goal is within reach. Keep pushing forward with your hands stretched out in front of you. Think of the sweet joy and victory that will flood your soul once you are actually able to attain the goal.
