Life: The Perfect Time For A Sabbatical

A sabbatical is a moment of time in which we set everything aside for the sole purpose of personal reflection and renewal.

I spend a lot of time trying to encourage and inspire others to live a better life, but I have my moments when I need the same in return. Many of us engage in this type of activity on a daily basis. So many of you understand what I am talking about.

How often do we need to set this sign up in our lives?

We do not do this for notoriety or personal aggrandizement. Our reason for doing this is nothing more than we want everyone to become their very best. Why? Because when we all become our very best, we are in a position to give our very best. When we give our very best, everyone around us tends to benefit from our output. Does this make sense?

Today, I realized that I have been giving to the point of exhaustion. Having said this, I think I am going to step away from writing for a little bit. I need a moment of renewal as I tend to my personal life. What good am I to anyone else if I do not have anything left to deposit?

Life can be funny this way because it reminds us that we must take care of ourselves as we invest in others. I will be on this sabbatical until the beginning of August. Although you cannot see it, the excitement of learning new things and growing as an individual is already setting in.

I appreciate any good wishes as I continue to move forward on this journey called life. I will see you when I return. Until then…love God, love people, love yourself.
