“And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David a house…” (2 Sam. 5:11).
We have to be careful in our pursuits of any form of success. Why? Because it could eventually lead us down the road to relying on our own self-sufficiency. When we ascend into higher levels of success in the socio-economic stratum, we tend to rely more on our associations. In so doing, we begin to neglect the counsel of God in the process. A sure success comes only through trusting in God alone.
