“And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness…” (2 Sam. 6:12).
Wherever the Presence and Spirit of the Living God rests, a blessing comes along with Him. This explains the importance of not only inviting but also ushering in God’s Presence and Power in our lives. It does not end there. Therefore, we must also invite and usher Him into our homes, into wherever we go and into whatever we do. We cannot claim the “blessed” status until we invite and usher in the Presence of the Provider of the blessing. The One cannot be separate from the other. It is a package deal.
We must place our focus upon the blessing as much as we understand that the presence of the blessing represents a reminder of the Goodness of the One Who has given the blessing to us. It should redirect our attention towards the One Who has blessed us. For all He does is done to direct our attention from the earthly realm to the Realm of the Heavenly King (Col. 3:1-2).
